As i mentioned before Skylar LOVES cookies so she was excited to eat these. The cherries are juicy and yummy if you cut them in half to leave a little more texture.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup raw cane sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 stick unsalted sweet cream butter melted
2 large brown eggs
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
25 maraschino cherries halved
2 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
Instructions:
Beat eggs, melted butter, and cane sugar in a stand mixer on medium until well blended.
Add in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and blend together.
Lastly add in chocolate chips, cherry juice, and cherries then mix until well blended.
Chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Roll tablespoons of dough into a ball then coat in confectioners sugar.
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake on 325 for 12-15 minutes.
